The article is devoted to the study of the interpretation of modern guitar works as a process of interaction between the composer’s intention and the performer’s individuality. The work examines key aspects of performing art that influence the formation of the artistic image of the work, as well as the possibility of preserving the authenticity of the author’s intention. The interpretation of musical material is a complex and multifaceted process that involves not only the reproduction of the musical text, but also creative comprehension, which allows the performer to convey both the technical and emotional components of the musical work. The focus of the study is the question of the balance between the composer’s author’s concept and performing freedom. Performing interpretation of modern guitar works requires the musician not only a high level of mastery of the instrument, but also a thorough understanding of musical styles, aesthetic trends and individual features of the composer’s language. In this regard, approaches to performing interpretation are considered that take into account the traditions of guitar art and its modern development. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the influence of performance freedom on the disclosure of the composer’s intention. The performer not only reproduces the musical text, but also actively interacts with it, giving the work new shades and meanings. Such an approach requires the musician to have knowledge of modern performance practices, mastery of various technical techniques and the ability to adapt his own interpretation to the context of the performed work. The article emphasizes that the interpretation of guitar works is not only a technical process, but also a creative act based on a dialogue between the composer and the performer. Such interaction contributes not only to a deeper disclosure of the artistic content of the work, but also to the creation of new innovative approaches to the performance of guitar music. The importance of the collaboration of composers and performers in the process of creating and performing modern guitar works is separately considered, which allows enriching the repertoire and opening up new opportunities for the development of instrumental performance. The study of this process is important not only from the point of view of performance practice, but also for the development of musicology in general. A deep analysis of interpretative approaches contributes to the formation of new performing traditions and the expansion of the boundaries of contemporary musical art. Thus, this work is of great importance for understanding contemporary trends in performing arts and their impact on the evolution of guitar music in the 21st century.
