The article is devoted to the problem of training future musicians-performers to manage their own purposeful activity in the conditions of a concert performance. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the conceptual and methodical foundations of forming future musical art masters’ ability to vocal-performing self-regulation with concretization in several original principles. The research methodology is based on a synergetic, interdisciplinary, activity-based and personality-centered approaches, which allow to search for ways to solve the problem of forming future musical art masters’ ability to vocal-performing self-regulation at the general scientific level. The use of analytical methods (conceptual-terminological, problem-search and comparative interdisciplinary analysis) and empirical study of the state of future musical art masters’ readiness for vocal-performing self-regulation made it possible to determine, based on modern requirements for vocal-performing practice, the most effective methodological principles for the formation of the specified ability of students-vocalists.The article proves that the solution to the problem of forming future musical art masters’ ability for vocal-performing self-regulation should be sought in purposeful planning, construction and reproduction of their own actions, in the ability to control themselves, manage their own emotions and realize their own intentions. An important component of the process of forming the specified phenomenon is determined to be persistent mastery of perfect automated skills, in general – vocal technique, bringing it to the level of performing proficiency. Among the methodical foundations of the study, we highlight the following principles: activation of motivation for self-regulation in vocal-performing activities; stimulation of self-reflection and self-assessment of one’s own performing abilities regarding the vocal-performing interpretation of specific musical works; holistic impact on the motivational, affective, cognitive and neurophysiological spheres of students-vocalists. The principle of self-regulation of stage excitement deserves special attention.
