The article examines the implementation of modernist stylistic practices (impressionism, pointillism, fauvism, cubism) in the process of professional training of future fine arts specialists. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to update the content of art education in accordance with contemporary requirements, which emphasize the integration of academic training with the development of creative thinking, individual artistic style, and the ability for interpretation. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the effectiveness of stylistically oriented practical tasks in the formation of professional competencies of future artists. The research methodology includes the analysis of scientific sources, generalization of pedagogical experience, observation of the educational process, and a pedagogical experiment. The expediency of using a system of tasks combining analytical copying, stylization, and creative interpretation as interconnected stages of learning is substantiated. It is determined that this approach contributes to a deeper understanding of the artistic language of modernism, the development of analytical, imaginative, and spatial thinking, the formation of students’ individual visual language, and the improvement of coloristic and compositional skills. The methodology of step-by-step mastering of modernist styles is outlined, which involves a transition from copying samples to creating original artistic solutions based on acquired stylistic principles. The results of the pedagogical experiment confirm an increase in the level of professional competencies, particularly the ability for stylistic transformation, variability of thinking, and creative self-realization. It is concluded that the implementation of modernist stylistic practices in the system of professional training of future artists is an effective means of integrating traditional academic approaches with modern educational strategies
