Розкриття музично-творчого потенціалу учнів молодшого шкільного віку як педагогічна проблема

Abstract

The article analyzes the current issue of contemporary music education–unfolding the musical and creative potential of primary school students within the new sociocultural conditions of the post-informational society. The generalized results of the conducted research are presented. These include: an analysis of domestic and international scholarly and methodological literature concerning the phenomena of an individual’s musical and creative potential, the development of this potential among students of various educational institutions, and the creation of necessary pedagogical conditions for fostering children’s musical and creative abilities; an examination of scientific approaches to understanding the musical and creative potential of modern primary school students; and a substantiation of the importance of gradually addressing this artistic and pedagogical issue, which is regarded in scientific discourse as a key pathway to enabling young learners to acquire the foundations of musical culture. The article presents the results of pedagogical observation of the artistic-educational process carried out both within the framework of general music education in general secondary education institutions and within primary (supplementary) music education provided by children’s art schools in Ukraine. The main pedagogical conditions necessary for musical and creative development, effective learning, and the upbringing of students have been identified. The essence of the phenomenon of a child’s musical and creative potential development is clarified, and the necessity of significantly improving the quality of children’s music education in Ukraine is substantiated. Conclusions are drawn regarding the high relevance of this issue for Ukrainian society in the context of its aspiration toward the European educational and cultural space under the changing conditions of the post-informational society and globalization. The prospects for further scientific research on this topic are outlined.
